About
As a Pilot car operator, also known as an escort vehicle operator, I’m responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of oversized and overweight loads. My duties include route planning, pre-trip inspections, guiding the oversized vehicle, communicating with the truck driver and other traffic, and maintaining safety protocols. I also manage traffic control and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, and ensure that the driver and I have a clear understanding of how to proceed according to the Issued Provincial Permits regarding routing and restrictions on the trip.
What We Do
- I’m a Pilot Truck operator with over 35 years of experience in the trucking industry, including 15 years as a heavy-haul owner/operator.
- I’m Fully Insured, WCB, with Washington State pilot/escort car certification and traffic control (flagger) certification.
- Communication includes a VHF/CB radio.
- My Pilot truck meets and exceeds Canadian Federal and Provincial rules and regulations regarding how a pilot truck is equipped.
- My experience as a heavy haul operator and pilot car operator will prove to be beneficial to your company to ensure that your load arrives safely.
